IFC Capital Markets Postgraduate Program

The program provides capital markets regulators and financial professionals in emerging markets with advanced skills, knowledge, and experience to develop effective and sustainable local capital markets in their home countries.

Strong capital markets are essential for driving economic growth, yet they remain underdeveloped in many countries, often due to a shortage of skilled regulators. This nine-month postgraduate program addresses this challenge by equipping mid-career capital markets regulators and financial professionals with the expertise to foster and expand domestic capital markets.

Candidates for the program must be nominated by Central Banks, Ministries of Finance, Securities and Exchange Regulators, or Stock Exchanges.

Program Offerings


The program has two offerings. It is available in English through a partnership with the Milken Institute at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, USA, and in French through a partnership with Paris Europlace at Université Paris Dauphine-PSL in Paris, France.
